About SEWN International Specialist Recruiting
SEWN International Specialist Recruiting has taken its name based on its Purpose: To facilitate the market mechanism allocating professional personnel from countries with oversupply (currently countries in the South East (SE) of Europe, to countries where the need and demand for specialists is high and cannot be covered by the domestic supply (such as the Western and Northern (WN) European countries in the E.U. Thus SE→WN.
Further SEWN provides the proper consultancy and tailor fitted approach (“SEWN” approach) to clients and candidates alike.
In SE Europe there is generally a high level of technical education but given the economic development the countries experience high unemployment and low pay for even highly educated specialists.
In NW Europe there is generally also a high level of education but the number of highly educated specialists of certain sectors (hereunder the medical) has not been enough to cover the demand.
The general re-allocation of resources given differences in demand and supply across regions is in Economic Theory supposed to be managed by the price (/salary) differences and market mechanism prompting people to seek employment where there is demand.
In reality there is naturally a number of barriers why the market mechanism does not work effectively without support. Such barriers are – among other – linguistic and cultural barriers, administrative barriers, the hassle of moving to the unknown and pure lack of knowledge of the opportunities.
Due to our understanding of the languages and cultures of both the candidate (SE) and well as the client (NW) markets as well as how to deal with the administrative barriers (work permit, acceptance of professional qualifications etc.) and our ability to significantly reduce the hassle of the process for both candidates and clients SEWN has a clear role in overcoming these barriers and creating a win-win-win situation for all parties.
SEWN partners with other recruiting agencies in Europe and will – upon acceptance from a candidate which we request when you sign up – share candidate profiles if we believe this will enhance the ability of finding the correct employment opportunity for the specific candidate.

The way we work at SEWN International Specialist Recruiting
SEWN International Specialist Recruiting does not charge candidates for our services. We are paid by our clients to find professionals with specific skills who can fill their vacancies.
Clients: Together we can work towards the target of creating job descriptions and finding candidates that best cover your needs. We offer to ease the recruiting and hiring process by searching through our database of candidates as well as marketing on targeted recruiting platforms in so far 11 SE European (EU and non EU) counties (Greece, Italy, Spain, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Ukraine) and finding the exact match, so that the candidates we introduce to you fit your company’s/hospital’s needs and professional specifications. We will inform you of the candidates language knowledge (vs. what is required in order to work in your country) and can organize language training if necessary. We also support obtaining all the appropriate work permits and documents, the candidates re-location process and subsequent follow up to make sure the hiring is a success for you and the candidate.
Candidates: After receiving your CV, we will run your profile through our job vacancies database and based on your personal preferences and qualifications our team will contact you with a tailor made proposal for you. After receiving all the appropriate paper work required by you we will forward your application to the employer(s) that meet your interests and requirements. Together we will arrange the interview according to your and the employers schedule. If everything goes as planned and you receive a job offer, we will help you with all the formalities for obtaining recognition of professional qualifications and if needed you can take advantage of our language school services in order to obtain the required language degree (see “Requirements” and “Language school” ). We will advise you up to the last detail about preparation of documents, so that everything can proceed very quickly and stress free for you. Before starting work we will also help you with re-location procedures such as finding a house and school for your children if relevant.
